Its a typical G series driver in every respect. Its a square faced, pear-shaped design with a typically understated black matte crown. The sole is silver and adorned with minimal red and black graphics. Its neither ugly nor super-pretty but to my eyes, it looked great behind the ball and thats the most important element in the aesthetics department. You can choose K15 golf in Japan website
The latest in Pings G range of clubs the Ping G15 Driver updates the technology that made the G10 driver the market leader. Like its predecessor the G15 has titanium head which reaches the 460CC maximum limit on headsize. To increase the moment of inertia or MOI the G15 has an elongated head from back to front which has lead to an improvement in MOI. This works in tandem with the G15 drivers 7% larger clubface to give more stability and forgiveness, even on those occasional off centre hits. The G15 also features Pings ultra thin crown technology which reduces the weight of the top of the clubhead by six grams and redistributes the weight to the external sole weight pad which helps to move the centre of gravity lower and further back in the clubhead meaning that the Ping G15 can provide golfers with the optimal trajectory of high launch combined with a low spin rate to help both carry and roll. The Ping G15 driver comes with either the TFC 149D or Aldila Serrano 60 Shaft.
Far from resting on their laurels Ping have managed to improve the new G15 driver with some excellent new developments. As big fans of the G10 version we couldnt wait to see the Ping G15 driver on the range to see if the changes had had the desired affect and we werent disappointed. At address you can see the G15 Drivers longer head design and it looks great with the new alignment aid first used in the Rapture wood and which thankfully replaces the moon graphic from previous G drivers. The feel and forgiveness of the Ping G15 is excellent and the club feels a little more alive and more explosive than the G10. Pings G10 driver is a worthy successor to the G10 and it has certainly raised the bar
