It's in its forgiveness that the Ping G15 Irons really earn its corn. You can hit one out of the toe or the heel or slightly fat and the consequences are not particularly dire. Yes there is some loss of distance, but the MOI is so high that wild shots left and right are greatly reduced. Cracking irons for the aspiring high-handicapper. They make the game easier.
In terms of forgiveness, the performance of the Ping G15 was very impressive. Off the fairway the clubs were so accurate, and the golf ball always held its line very well once airbourne. Anyone who has trouble hitting enough greens in regulation could certainly see some benefit in using these irons.
There is a nice finish to all Ping clubs, the Ping G15 clones are no exception. The almost rough finish to these cast irons is very cool in my book. The graphics on the back of the club face are interesting enough, but not overly distracting. They are very similar to the i15 graphics, and even the G10 line to some degree. You will not be seeing them while swinging the club, so the design of the backside of the club rarely influences my decision on a club purchase.
Mizuno MX-300 Irons
Then came to your within functions, I have know you would not let me down. Featuring reduced offset and a more compact head, the Mizuno MX 300 Irons gives proficient ball strikers who find the MP series just a little bit too tough to hit consistently out of the sweet spot, the chance to experience the joys of Mizuno forging. Feel has been enhanced through a re-working of Mizuno's Y-tune Pro technology, which has been literally turned on its side to work vertically on the clubhead rather than horizontally, which claims to improve flight control and increase feel on slight miss-hits.
The Mizuno MX 300 uses Mizuno's Y-Tune technology from the MX-200 to provide a full cavity club with enhanced feel and control but in a reconfigured shape. This enables Mizuno to strengthen the area around the toe for more forgiveness. The sole of the Mizuno MX-300 Irons is also dual cambered to minimize turf drag and digging at impact.
