The TaylorMade 2009 Burner Irons bring eight individual weapons to your bag, all designed for their own mission. Improved SuperFast Technology for longer and more consistent distance with every iron.

The 2009 Burner Irons feature Inverted Cone Technology. This technology was originally developed to expand the COR zone of TaylorMade drivers. The Inverted Cone was drilled directly in the back side of the club face resulting in drastic variations of face thickness. The end result of the Inverted Cone was more distance resulting from mi****s.

The R9 SuperDeep TP Driver is engineered to promote a mid launch-angle and low spin-rate for strong swingers who tend to launch the ball too high and with too much spin with other drivers. The ultra-deep clubface (2.55 inches tall) is the deepest of any TaylorMade driver ever, and the head height is equal to the USGA limit (2.8 inches). The head is also more compact from heel to toe than other drivers like R9 SuperTri and Burner® SuperFast.

This gives R9 SuperDeep TP a lower MOI which, combined with its forward CG location makes it more workable for players who like to shape their tee shots.

The cheap R9 SuperDeep TP Driver also features a reshaped crown that helps to improve the aerodynamics of the club while also offering the deepest clubface that TaylorMade have ever produced in a MWT driver. The new shape is augmented by a black colour scheme that marks a welcome return for the black PVD clubface that so impressed in the r7 SuperQuad driver.
