In the beginning, as the golfer takes the position for swinging, the golf-club is at rest. Eventually, the golfer uses some force to his swing (backswing), which sets the club into motion. The club will continue to be in swinging motion, unless another force is applied to stop it. This can be achieved if a force is imparted in the other direction (downswing). The faster the swing speed, the longer is the distance traveled by the ball. In simpler terms, the quicker a player can accelerate from the backswing to the downswing, the more will be the swing speed.Mizuno JPX 800 XD Irons
If a player understands the natural tendency of the body and uses it effectively, then he/she will find it very easy to maintain a proper golf swing, and achieve a powerful swing consistently. Overcome golf swing inertia by practicing step training regularly, which is performed by swinging the club to the top and at the same time, stepping the first foot in the direction of the target. This way, the force exerted on the club can be balanced between the backswing and the downswing, which in turn, will help to accelerate faster.
Another tip to increase the swing speed and/or distance is to maintain the downswing radius as small as possible along with the correct gripping position of the hands (fully ****ed position), before striking the ball.
